WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF YOUR TESTIMONY?
The purpose of my testimony is to oppose Trans-Allegheny’s (TrAILCO)
application for a Certificate of Convenience and Necessity because
TrAlLCO cannot establish the criteria necessary under the laws of West
Virginia to receive the certificate. Second, if the Certificate is granted, li do
not want the line to be placed on my property. Third, if the TrAIL is
approved by this Commission for placement on my property, I ask that it
be relocated from its current proposed path. As planned, the TrAlL
bisects my property in the most obtrusive manner imaginable.
Historical Significance of the Dallas Property:
Q. DESCRIBE THE PROPERTY WHICH YOU AND YOUR PARENTS OWN
IN MAIDSVILLE, WV?
A. My parents and I own approximately 57 acres on Bowlby Road, Cross
District, in Maidsville, West Virginia. See Exhibit A, Monongalia County
DeedBook , Page . The property and farmhouse have been in
my family for three generations. Exhibit B, Deed of Conveyance,
Monongalia County Deed Book 453, Page 320. It was originally
purchased by my grandfather, Stanley Zator, in 1950 and included 1 10
acres. However, even before my grandparents purchased the land, our
family lived in the historic mansion located on the property for more than a
decade. See Exhibit B. This property has unquantifiable significance to
my family, and the Maidsville community.
