Alignment of Uniprox Prosthetic Knee Joints Uniprox Prosthetic Knee Joints are aligned using two different principles. Compliance with these principles is required to obtain optimal performance and to prevent the knee joints from malfunctioning. The recommended alignment will be noted for each of the prosthetic knee joints on the following pages of the Prosthetic Knee Joints section. Alignment: Traditional Alignment Heel height 50 % 50 % Plumb line Greater Trochanter Knee axis of rotation The alignment/force reference line of the prosthetic knee joint runs from the greater trochanter down to the middle of the foot, which means the center of rotation of the knee is posterior to the line.
