It makes sense to take a look at the cont-sys.rme file to see what preferences make<br />
sense. If you want to speed up the typescript processing, say (in cont-sys.tex:<br />

If you want to change the default encoding, you should add something:<br />
\setupencoding [default=texnansi]<br />
If you want the default berry names:<br />
\usetypescript [berry] [\defaultencoding]<br />
If you run into missing <strong>font</strong> metrics kind of problems, you may want to add:<br />
\usetypescript[adobekb] [\defaultencoding]<br />
Beware: if you use an other encoding afterwards, change this into:<br />
\usetypescript[berry] [all]<br />
\usetypescript[adobekb] [all]<br />
You can let ConT E Xt load the map files for pdfT E X:<br />
\autoloadmapfilestrue<br />
The following lines will remove exiting references to map<br />
files and load a few defaults.<br />

14 Installing <strong>font</strong>s<br />
Most T E X distributions come with a couple of <strong>font</strong>s, most noticeably the Computer<br />
Modern Roman typefaces. In order to use a <strong>font</strong>, T E X has to know its characteristics.
