In our Centennial Year, the Highland Park Chamber of Commerce is proud to present
the 2011-2012 Community Guide, one of many services offered by your Chamber of
Commerce. We hope that it will be a valuable reference tool and resource for residents
and visitors looking for goods and services, important community information, and
what’s happening in Highland Park. The businesses and organizations listed within, both
alphabetically and categorically, are all current members of the Highland Park Chamber.
As we researched the Chamber’s history in preparation for our Centennial Year, we found
a number of recurring themes – chief among them: Do business here. Support your local
merchants. Support your local economy.
Other recurring themes: Civic loyalty…the spirit of volunteerism…partnership and
collaboration…a visioning of the future and acting upon it. All of these were constants
throughout the 100-year history of the Chamber, and all continue to this day.
The Chamber’s strength is built on the voluntary membership of businesses dedicated to
improving the business climate for all and ensuring the economic vitality of our community.
It is what has held us together as an organization for the past 100 years…it is what sustains
us in the present…and it is what will lead us into the future.
