Track and Field information packets will be available at the coaches meeting on Thursday, April 25, 2013.
Location: Steinke Physical Education Center (SPEC) – Gym. 1 Block South of Javelina Stadium, Avenue B.
5:00 pm -6:30 pm: Packet Pickup 6:30 pm: Coaches Meeting
Packets will include: Heat & Lane Assignments

For schools not attending the coaches meeting on Thursday, April 25, 2013; packets may be picked up
on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the main entrance ticket booth.
I. CONTESTANTS:
A. Competitor Check In will be at the south end of Javelina Stadium – opposite end of the
scoreboard – outside of the track. Competitors will be escorted by flights to starting line.
B. Athlete Warm-Up Area will be at the south end of Javelina Stadium – opposite end of the
scoreboard – outside of the track. No warm-ups permitted on the track infield surface.
C. Must remain in the stands when not participating in event or warming up.
D. Field Event Competitors check in at event site.
E. Awards: Running Events & Field Events : The first, second and third place winners will report to the awards
stand on the infield immediately after the conclusion of their event.
F. Field Events: When a competitor has qualified in more than one field event:
a. He/She must inform the official upon check-in
b. Upon leaving one event to compete in another, he/she must inform the official of time leaving. Competitor
has 10 minutes to return.
c. Trial may be taken in succession.
G. The Shot and Discus weigh-in station will be at the Clement Center (Weight Room), located at the North-East
Corner of Javelina Stadium (Scoreboard End) Schedule for Implement Weigh-In:
Friday, 7:00 am – 8:15 am – 3A Girls Discus Saturday, 7:00am-8:15am -3A Boys Shot
Friday, 9:30 am-10:45 am – 3A Girls Shot, 3A Boys Discus
Friday, 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm – 1A Girls Discus, 1A Boys Shot
Friday, 3:00 pm – 4:15 pm – 1A Girls Shot, 1A Boys Discus
All implements weighed will be impounded and only certified implements will be placed in the “pool” for
competition. Athletes will be allowed to warm-up by flights prior to the start of competition, under the
supervision of an official.
H. Pole Vault: Competitor’s weight verification and pole inspections will conducted at the event site immediately
prior to the competition. Disqualified poles will be impounded.
I. No loud radios.
J. Automatic timing system and video will be used for all running events.
K. For running event prelims, athletes should judge their warm-up on events, not time.
L. Designated uniform for throws participants is specified as a singlet uniform top.
M. No cell phone usage or other wireless device used for communication will be allowed on the infield during
competition.
