Reinforcing Paperback Covers with <strong>Book</strong> Tape<br />
Required Materials<br />
• Scotch ® C–27 Taping System Applicator<br />
• Transparent <strong>Book</strong> Tape (various widths)<br />
1Depress the platform and slide the<br />
book under the cutter lip with the<br />
spine facing right. (The outrigers can<br />
be extended to support large books.)<br />
Line up the lower corner of the book‘s<br />
spine on the spine guide. Pull the tape<br />
out to the end of the book cover and<br />
line up the edge of the tape parallel<br />
with the spine.<br />
2Press the tape down on the book and<br />
slide the cutter to trim the tape.<br />
Press down and slide back to release<br />
the book.<br />
3Press the tape down along the spine<br />
of the book.<br />
4Slide the book across the applicator to<br />
adhere the tape to the opposite cover<br />
of the book.<br />
