In light of the storm day on Monday, February
11, we will use one of our scheduled storm
makeup days in our 2012-13 school calendar.
Friday, March 15, 2013, there will be school.

INTERESTED IN THE ENERGY
INDUSTRY?
The National Energy Center of Excellence at
Bismarck State College is offering the second
annual Summer Career Academy to youth ages
14-16 on June 25-27, 2013, at BSC. The
academy offers participants an exciting
opportunity to engage in energy-related lab
activities, tour energy facilities and learn about
the amazing career opportunities.
Dorm rooms and food will be at no cost to the
participants thanks to support from Minnkota
Power, Basin Electric, Montana-Dakota
Utilities, Otter Tail Power and Bismarck State
College. Participants are required to provide
their own transportation to Bismarck State
College.
Space is limited to 20 students. Interested
students need to apply by March 8, 2013.

7 th & 8 th TRACK
7 th and 8 th track begins on Monday, March 25.
Students need to sign up in the office, and all
forms and fees are due no later than Monday,
March 18.
FORM AND FITNESS
7 th & 8 th grade students can sign up for the last
session of Form and Fitness at the sports
window in the CMS office. Session III runs
from March 18 – May 9. The cost is $25.00.
ATTENTION ALL 6 TH ,
7 TH AND 8 TH GRADE
GIRLS: Would you like to
learn a sport that would last
a lifetime? If so, join the
middle school tennis
program for the spring 2013 season. You may
sign up at the sports window by the Cheney
office. The season will begin April 2 and last
until the end of May. We will have an
informational meeting in the Cheney Theatre
from 3:45P.M. - 4:30P.M. Thursday, March 21.
Matches will be played against other Fargo,
Moorhead, and Wahpeton teams.
There will also be an intramural team for 6 th
grade girls. If you want to play a fun sport with
your friends, be sure and sign up today for the
Cheney intramural or middle school girls’ tennis
team.

Fargo Public Schools is involved in a continuous
improvement process that involves all
stakeholders including parents, staff, and

Schools, and what a parent, student or staff
member should expect in a high quality school
