Our top class Trout Fishery is situated within the grounds of Blenheim Palace, home to the
Duke and Duchess of Marlborough. The picturesque Park provides a unique setting for trout
fishing with its rolling landscape and Bladon Lake created by ‘Capability’ Brown.
Fishing the Lake
• Hooks to be no larger than size 10 and barbless
• Flies to be no longer than 1 inch/25mm
• No fish to be taken from the water unless killed
• All Brown Trout to be returned
• First fish of your limit to be killed
• Dogs not allowed
• Wading prohibited
• No cleaning and gutting of fish on premises
• Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult
• Toilets are available at The Pleasure Gardens as marked on the map

• Fishing is available from 0700hrs to dusk or 2130hrs
• Exit Gate closes at 2145hrs

The lake complex extends to 21 acres of water with a bank length of
a mile. The waters are stocked with full tailed Rainbow Trout
weighing up to 8lbs, and a few Brown Trout. We are open all year
round (except Christmas Day).
The fishery is split into 4 beats known as Rough Piece, Bladon,
The Lince and The Gardens. All these beats can be fished under one
ticket although the Gardens can only be fished after 1700hrs.
We are able to offer coaching and tuition both for parties and
individuals in partnership with Orvis. Rods and tackle can also be
supplied by prior arrangement. Please call 01993 810500

Gardens during normal opening times.

Tariffs
• Rough Piece, Bladon and The Lince beats may be fished all day.
The Gardens may be fished every day after 1700hrs
Day Ticket
• £35 retain first four fish release six
Half Day Ticket 0700hrs to 1400hrs
or 1400hrs to dusk
• £25 retain first fish release three
• Blocks of 10 tickets may be purchased at a 20% discount
• Concessions /Students receive a 10% discount
• Supervisors /carers of disabled fisher admission free
• Under 12s must be accompanied by an adult
(one non-fishing adult £5.00)
• Blenheim Palace reserves the right to close the fishery or any of
the four beats at any time and notification of this will be given
at the returns box.
