VINCENT DE PAUL SAINT PASCAL CONFERENCE We know that the poor are with us, but we often doubt their circumstances just as Thomas doubted Jesus’ appearance to the other disciples. When Jesus appeared He shattered the boundaries of locked doors and doubt. We may lock our hearts and eyes against the poor, but they are there...with their wounds, their scars, and their thorns. They are the incarnation of the crucified and Risen Christ. Every time we turn our backs on any suffering or despairing person, we turn away from Christ. Remember that what we do to the least of our brothers and sisters, we do unto Him. This is the spirit of Vincentians and of those who support our activities in St. Pascal parish. April 18th - Prayer Shawl Meeting 1-3 pm Ciezadlo Senior Ctr 3954 N. Meade April 18th - Respect Life Meeting 7pm, Room 100 St Pascal Boy Scout Troop 815 will be holding their second annual spring flower sale. We will be selling flats of 48 plants and planters and hanging baskets. The price for a flat is $18.00 and the planters and containers range from $18.00 to $40.00. We will be selling Petunias, Geraniums ( 14 - 4” pots ) Impatiens and others. The sale will run through April 2012. The pick up date will be May 20 or 27,2012 at St. Pascal. There will be a Scout in the Hospitality room on April 29 & May 6th after the Masses with color brochures to place your order. All flowers are grown to order. 50% of the proceeds will go directly into the Boys camping account for camp outs and Owassippi,the rest will go to the troop for program. Why go to Jewel or Home Depot or Loews when you could get all your spring flowers right here. For more information please call Bela Csongradi at 773- 282-0632.
SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER APRIL 15, 2012 Page 5 St. Pascal School is no longer in the 1st position! We need your help to get us back there! Please drop off your soda cans and plastic bottles today! The list on the right indicates what is counted. Working together towards regaining our lead as we are into the final three months of the contest. Thank you to everyone who has collected aluminum cans and plastic containers for this recycling contest. Keep sending in your recyclables. Working as a team is the key to success. Encourage your family and friends to save their containers to be recycled. Ask coworkers at work to donate their recyclables. Invite your neighbors to join the cause. What to send… Aluminum soda cans Individual size drink containers Plastic liter and 2 liter soda containers Plastic water bottles What not to send… Soup cans Gallon milk containers Juice cartons Cardboard boxes It will benefit our school and the environment! All items can be dropped off in Room 100 during Hospitality after all Masses until noon. Items may also be dropped off at the school office between 7:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
