2010 Varsity Dance Team
Dance
The dance team traveled to Orlando
and finished fifth in the small group
Universal Dance Association competition
in February. As always, the girls
danced at a number of Assumption
events, drawing a huge crowd to see
their outstanding routines. They also
performed at the St. X vs. Trinity game at
Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium in front of
a crowd of 35,000 fans.
The program added a JV dance team
this year, which was a hit. The ten
additional girls really added to the
program and danced at a number of
events, including the Walk kickoff, St. X
Trinity JV game, and the winter Future
Rocket Night. The team also traveled to
Orlando where they placed third in the
national JV competition.

Class Ambassador: Martha Pfaadt Tedesco
Erin Hargan began a new position with Jefferson
County Public Schools as a district math and science
resource teacher. She is engaged to Colm
Mahon of County Kildare, Ireland, and they are
planning a wedding in 2010!
Kimberley Schwoeppe Naber has accepted the
director of professional liability claims and associate
general counsel position at KHA Solutions
Group. She has been married for eight years to
her husband, David. They have two children,
Samantha, 4, and Joshua, 2.

Dionne Norris Schoen
Claudia Coffey has returned home to Louisville
after working for a Fox affiliate in Washington,
D.C. She is now the weekend anchor and a
reporter three days a week for WHAS-TV.

Melanie Abrams Arms graduated from Campbellsville
University in December 2009 with
a masters degree in special education and is
currently employed with Jefferson County Public
Schools at Johnson Traditional Middle School.
Tara Burress Malloy and her husband, Tony, have
moved to a new home following the adoption
of their second child, Madelyn Grace, born on
December 19, 2008. She joins big brother, Cruz
Anthony Jose, 3½. Tara and Tony own a business,
Malloy, Inc., that contracts with FedEx Ground.

Isabella Clare, on
April 21, 2010. She
weighed 8 pounds,
13 ounces, and was
20 inches long.
Erica Esposito Hodge
and her husband, Jon,
proudly announce the
birth of their first child,
son Alberico Joel, on
September 14, 2009.
He weighed 8 pounds,
3 ounces, and was 19
inches long.

Niemann Sell
Lauren Ryan Alexander and her husband,
Jonathan, are proud to announce the birth of their
third child, Logan John, on December 9, 2009,
at 2:55 p.m. He weighed 10 pounds, 10 ounces,
and was 22¼ inches long. Logan joins big sister,
Janelle, 3, and is being watched over from heaven
by big sister, Meredith, who passed away
August 29, 2008.
Jennah Hines Duke and her husband, Jason, welcomed
their third child, Collin Nicholas, on October
17, 2009. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces,
and was 19½ inches long. Collin joins big brother,
Garrett, 6, and big sister, Olivia Kate, 4.
Katey Dougherty Fountain and her husband, DJ,
proudly welcome their newest addition, Andrew
Edward, on March 8, 2010. He weighed 6
pounds, 8 ounces, and was 18½ inches long. He
joins his big sister, Madeline Kathleen, 2. Katey is
enjoying her time working as a nurse on a PRN
basis and staying at home with her babies.

birth of their son, Patrick,
on January 27, 2010, at
7:41 a.m. He weighed 7
pounds, 15 ounces, and
was nearly 21 inches
long. Patrick joins big

sister, Marcie, 3. Blue
Murphy is a member of the AHS technology department,
and Patrick’s grandmother is Joyce Koch
AHS director of technology.
Kiersten Steitz graduated from UK in December
2009 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology
and a minor in business administration. Kiersten
has moved back to Louisville and is looking for
employment as a counselor.
