<strong>CII</strong>-IL is currently working on<br />
“Challenges <strong>of</strong> <strong>Logistics</strong> Service<br />
Providers” in association with Pr<strong>of</strong>.<br />
Rajluxmi Murthy, and Pr<strong>of</strong>. Jishnu<br />
Hazra, IIM, Bangalore. This study<br />
would focus on analyzing issues<br />
relating to trends in business<br />
evolution, competitive forces, asset<br />
build and customer expectations.<br />
The study would have cross section<br />
retail, agriculture, metals and<br />
minerals and Technology. The<br />
proposed research streams are under<br />
consideration by leading corporate<br />
bodies in the country and it is<br />
expected that two <strong>of</strong> the research<br />
streams would be initiated in 2005.<br />
The structure would be a team <strong>of</strong><br />
five dedicated researchers. The team<br />
would focus on the vertical aspects<br />
relating to supply chain and<br />
research, and involve both empirical<br />
and model building.<br />
