Many reflexologists use the <strong>New</strong> <strong>Age</strong> technique <strong>of</strong><br />

visualization. The Holistic <strong>Health</strong> Handbook instructs the<br />

practitioner to “visualize yourself as being a channel for<br />

healing energy that flows through your hands” (p. 184).<br />

Eunice Ingham, a disciple <strong>of</strong> Fitzgerald, describes<br />

reflexology as “opening the blocked meridians and<br />

c h a n n e l i n g t h e h e a l i n g p o w e r t h r o u g h<br />

visualization” (Stories the Feet Have Told Thru<br />

Reflexology, p. 29).<br />

It is obvious that reflexology is based on occultic<br />

principles and should be avoided by God’s people.<br />

Iridology<br />

Iridology is the practice <strong>of</strong> examining the iris <strong>of</strong> the eye<br />

to diagnose an individual’s state <strong>of</strong> health, both<br />

psychological and physical. Similar to reflexology,<br />

iridology claims that each part <strong>of</strong> iris represents a<br />

corresponding area in the body.<br />

Iridologists commonly diagnose “imbalances” which<br />

they treat with vitamins, minerals, and herbal<br />
