What is <strong>great</strong> about <strong>our</strong> neighb<strong>our</strong>hoods?<br />
Purpose<br />
This report takes a high-level review of <strong>our</strong> <strong>city</strong> - the uniqueness of each<br />
neighb<strong>our</strong>hood, its people and communities, it’s economy and its natural<br />
environment. In particular, we were interested in finding out the strengths of<br />
communities within each neighb<strong>our</strong>hood in order to develop an approach to<br />
leisure and well being to complete Council’s “<strong>great</strong> place to live, work and<br />
play” vision.<br />
Building on existing visions and strategies in existence, this report:<br />
• takes a preliminary look at how Council could further foster the future<br />
growth of each neighb<strong>our</strong>hood with a particular focus on leisure and well<br />
being and the economy and<br />
•provides a template <strong>for</strong> rationalising the many vision documents and<br />
strategies related to economic development, the environment and leisure<br />
and wellbeing.<br />
