Are you proficient in written and spoken Spanish or Portuguese and are you looking<br />
for a new academic challenge? If so, consider the MA en Estudios Ibéricos e<br />
Iberoamericanos. In combining linguistics, literary studies, history and art history,<br />
this programme will extend your knowledge of Spain, Portugal, and Latin America,<br />
and open up new academic and career perspectives for you. Taught in Spanish<br />
(and Portuguese) and designed to provide a genuine international experience,<br />
the programme features student exchange opportunities with Spain, Portugal,<br />
and various Latin American countries. Personalise your study path by pursuing<br />
alternative disciplines such as anthropology or sociology and through your researchbased<br />
Master’s thesis, written in Spanish or Portuguese. The programme is excellent<br />

MSc in Educational Studies (60 ECTS)<br />
Is a management career within education your thing? Why not investigate the possibilities<br />
with our MSc in Educational Studies. This programme primarily aims to provide<br />
in-depth knowledge in one or more sub-domains of educational studies (basic<br />
educational topics, instructional science, educational policy, and adult education),<br />
but also offers advanced knowledge of educational processes, policy, innovation,<br />
and research. Through individualised assignments as well as research seminars,<br />
several experienced scholars provide you with an overview of basic theories and<br />
recent developments. Beyond fine-tuning your theoretical insights, you’ll come to<br />
grips with macro, meso and micro processes, and methodological skills. What’s<br />
more, your research-based Master’s thesis won’t just help you to develop expertise<br />

Then make the MA in Medieval and Renaissance Studies your springboard for an<br />
academic career or an advanced position in the cultural sector. With specialised<br />
seminars and the close study of texts, which bring the cultural and intellectual history<br />
of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance to life, the programme will stimulate your<br />
independent study within a wide range of issues from philosophy to the history of<br />
science. Take advantage of K.U.<strong>Leuven</strong>’s strong international reputation earned<br />
through the efforts of such dedicated research centres as the De Wulf-Mansion<br />
Centre (philosophy), Aristoteles Latinus, Illuminare (illuminated manuscripts), the Seminarium<br />

and the Institute for Medieval Studies, which monitors the contacts between these<br />

Armed with your prior training in archaeology, field experience and passion for discovery,<br />
you’re ready to specialise. K.U.<strong>Leuven</strong>, the only Flemish university whose teaching<br />
is supported by its own excavations,offers you the MA in Archaeology programme,<br />
and the chance to become an expert in prehistory, Egypt and the Near East, and<br />
classical antiquity. The programme also features training in managerial or co-ordinating<br />
roles in excavations. As a young researcher, you’ll be prepared for a career in the<br />
academic world. Furthermore, you’ll have developed sufficient practical and general<br />
