Coach’s Comments: His third-place conference
finish as a freshman decathlete was a pleasant
surprise. It foreshadows Justin’s great potential
in the combined events.
Dave Tidey
Coach’s Comments: A senior, Dave has been
a solid middle-distance performer for us, as well
as a team leader. He will finish his career with an
outstanding senior season. He should help make
this year’s 4x800 one for the record books.
Steve Tyson
SOPHOMORE
Bridgeport/Upper Merion
Major: Chemistry
Honors: 2004-05 KU Male
Rookie of the Year
2005 Highlights: Indoor -
Never finished below third
place all season in shot put.
First place at PSAC Championships in shot put
put (50-11 1/2). Placed first in the shot put at
the Lock Haven Qualifier with an NCAA provisional
distance of 52-8.
Coach’s Comments: A true scholar-athlete.
Steve deals with organic chemistry labs, throws,
runs and lifts all in the same afternoon. He should
make it to Nationals this year in the shot, and he
should become a scorer in the weight, hammer
and discus as well.
Dan Wilde
the scorer’s stand this season. His leadership
abilities are invaluable to the growth of our distance
Coach’s Comments: Returning conference
champ in the javelin, Dan will be off to a slow
start after resolving some knee problems this fall
another trip to nationals.
