Imperial County Chapter #165 of California<br />

<strong>Korean</strong> dancers performed native dances at the anniversary dinner in<br />

Bakersfield.<br />

July 20, 2003 - Our Chapter along with other <strong>Korean</strong> <strong>Veterans</strong> and members<br />

of the Imperial Valley <strong>Korean</strong> Community as they were feted to an<br />

evening of remembrance hosted by the Imperial Valley <strong>Korean</strong> Community<br />

in grateful appreciation. (Thank you Robert Ruiz for photo and letter.)<br />

Ventura County Chapter #56 of California<br />

Tables of delicious <strong>Korean</strong> food supplied by <strong>Korean</strong>-Americans, many of<br />

whom drove over one hundred miles from Los Angeles to Bakersfield.<br />

KWVA Indiana Chapter #1<br />

Manuel Adame, David Lopez, Ben Espinoza, John Campos were the first 4<br />

men to receive their medallions from the traveling dancing group at the<br />

<strong>Korean</strong> Temple in Los Angeles.<br />

Albuquerque Chapter #1 of New Mexico<br />

On July 27th, 2003 a beautiful ceremony was held at our <strong>War</strong> Memorial Shrine<br />

honoring the 50th Anniversary of the <strong>Korean</strong> Truce. Several individuals and<br />

organizations made this event possible. Bernard “Ski” Wisniewski, our KWVA<br />

president and our Color Guard worked so hard and looked so good. We had a<br />

beautiful American Flag presented to us. <strong>The</strong>re were spiritual and touching<br />

words honoring the <strong>Veterans</strong> now serving and those that we have lost.<br />
