During WWII I served aboard merchant ships as an U.S. Navy Armed<br />
Guard Signalman.(1942-45). In July 1950 I reenlisted in the Navy and<br />
was sent to Commander Naval Forces Far East (COMNAVFE)<br />
Headquarters. In January 1951, I was assigned as liaison personnel to<br />
Eight Army Korea headquarters (EUSAK) in Taegu. We moved from Taegu<br />
and set up headquarters in Seoul where I maintained the war-room charts<br />
of daily activities of all the forces. I was also a courier and driver for many<br />
flag officers to Panmunjon and Kaesong as we set up the armistice facilities<br />
there.<br />
