Photometry, PCR and Automated Pipetting
BioPhotometer plus
The BioPhotometer plus, a compact UV/Vis photometer, is
optimized for use in molecular biology, biochemistry and cell
biology labs. Preprogrammed methods for routine applications
as well as automatic calculations of results guarantee safe and
error-free operation.
In addition to its low weight, the photometer is small, yet
extremely sturdy due to a robust metal housing, which allows for
easy transport and cleaning.
The BioPhotometer plus is designed for use with cuvettes such
as the disposable, UV transparent Eppendorf UVette ® , but is
also optimized for measurement of very small volumes through
the use of microliter cells.
Mastercycler ® pro
The Mastercycler pro is Eppendorf’s newest PCR cycler.
It offers very fast heating and cooling rates, a full gradient
function and Eppendorf’s new vapo.protect technology to
reduce evaporation during PCR to a minimum. It is possible to
combine up to 30 units to a network and control all units with
one computer.
epMotion 5070CB
The new epMotion 5070 CB increases the reproducibility of cell
culture experiments. The automated pipetting system epMotion is
the first automation system designed to be operated in a laminar flow
hood. Automation enables more reproducible pipetting and the usage
of higher density plates formats such as 96 or 384 well plates.
The epMotion 5070 CB is the perfect tool for low- and mid-throughput
routine cell culture work, such as seeding cells, changing
media or preparing solutions with additives for cell treatment.
Moreover complete assays such as cytotox, cell viability and
apoptosis assays can be performed on the epMotion.
