Safety trough for laboratory applications, colleges and schools. Supplied with aluminium
honeycomb block, perforated top plate and 2 litres sealing liquid (paraffin oil). For
flasks/containers up to 10 litres.

Operation:
Before use, the safety trough needs to be filled with 2 litres sealing liquid (paraffin oil included in delivery) until the
honeycomb cells are immersed in 10 mm liquid.
Mode of effect:
The honeycomb cells filled with sealing liquid collect combustible and non-combustible liquid. The Combustible liquid is
extinguished due to oxygen starvation. In addition, oxygen supply is prevented by the perforated top plate which also
provides protection against injuries from the honeycomb cells of the block. The honeycomb block can easily be
removed to dispose of the liquid and clean the trough.
Important information!
The safety trough is not to be used with aluminium organic, or halo organic compounds.
