prescription, repeat prescription, OTC or NHP at a pharmacy<br />
in the past 12 months than did men<br />
• There was no noticeable difference between the age<br />
or sex <strong>of</strong> the patient and whether they received information<br />
from the pharmacist or not<br />
Awareness <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong> and Its<br />
Role as Regulator<br />
• The public has a greater awareness <strong>of</strong> the <strong>College</strong><br />
than previously believed as 27% <strong>of</strong> all Ontarians<br />
correctly identified the <strong>College</strong>’s role as regulator <strong>of</strong><br />
pharmacists<br />
• However, a higher number <strong>of</strong> Ontarians (31%)<br />
believing that the <strong>College</strong>’s role is to “train pharmacists”<br />
indicates that more must be done to help the<br />
public understand the difference between regulating<br />
and academic colleges<br />
