Portrait of Luis Alemany Indarte<br />
Luis Alemany Indarte was born in Madrid in 1940. He<br />
and his family are all Architects, indeed his father Luis<br />
Alemany Soler planned and built the famous "Bernabeu"<br />
Stadium for Real Madrid Football Club. In 1972 Real<br />
Madrid commissioned Luis Alemany Indarte to design<br />
their training complex, since that time the Alemany<br />

brother, two sons, a nephew and a daughter-in-law all<br />

modernisation of the Bernabeu for the FIFA World Cup held in Spain in 1982.<br />
Other outstanding projects include the palace<br />

winning the World Stamp Championship in Israel 2008.<br />
Overall, Luis Alemany Indarte has received for his<br />
various stamp <strong>collection</strong>s nearly 90 national and international<br />
Large Gold medals and 23 International <strong>Grand</strong><br />
<strong>Prix</strong>, of which 7 were awarded at FIP Exhibitions.<br />
Today, Luis Alemany Indarte is one of the most important<br />
stamp collectors in Spain and across the globe, a<br />
Luis Alemany Indarte and his wife in<br />
Granada having won the <strong>Grand</strong> <strong>Prix</strong><br />
International at the International<br />
Stamp Show 1992.<br />

THE HISTORY<br />

to go to Cachoeira do Sul, where he had mentioned there was a lady<br />
from a traditional gaucho family, Silva Goulart, who was believed to<br />
own an old archive of family correspondence. The lady showed them<br />
<br />
almost all of them had their stamps destroyed, removed without any<br />
<br />
just a boy, had started collecting stamps, and had removed the stamps<br />
he needed from the letters in the precious box.<br />
<br />
salvaged from the hands of the future Ambassador. Clovis Leite agreed<br />
to give all that was salvaged to Frederico Barata, to be part of his<br />
<strong>collection</strong>. The pieces from Cachoeira do Sul were then exhibited at the<br />
great Exposition Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Farroupilha.<br />
View of the town of Cachoeira, the destination of the letter<br />

Paulo, acquired the letter directly from Frederico Barata and kept it for<br />
<br />
Workers in the rural area of <strong>Brazil</strong>. The letter was kept by a traditional<br />
gaucho family as part of their family archive for almost 100<br />
years until its discovery in 1935.<br />

and the winner of three FIP Large Gold Medals. He intended to put<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
$ 100,000. The buyer of the <strong>collection</strong> was a collector from Rio de<br />
Janeiro, Roberto Seabra Benevides.<br />
