Buffalo Bayou’s unique and unforgettable landscapes:
Guy Hagstette
Kevin Shanley
Johnny Steele
Charles Tapley
Each one of our honorees is known for his abundant creativity,
keen intelligence, hard work and generous spirit.
Together, these men have transformed the banks of Buffalo
Bayou, creating such memorable destinations as Buffalo Bayou
Park, Sesquicentennial Park and Sabine Promenade.
In addition to Buffalo Bayou, other parks, gardens and civic
spaces throughout Houston have benefited from the design skills
of our honorees. Houston is truly a more livable and beautiful city
because of their professional efforts and contributions.
