f/2 Vitamins solution
Dissolve thiamine*HCL in 950 ml of dH2O. Add 1 ml of each primary stock and bring final volume to 1L with
dH2O. Store frozen.

2.3 f/2 Medium – ready-to-use granular pre-mix
F/2 can be bought as a ready-to use granular or liquid mix containing all the required chemicals. See Appendix 3
for suppliers.
An example for preparation using granular mix: Following supplier‟s information, e.g.: 1kg of f/2 pre-prepared
mix for 10,000 L of final medium. For preparation of stock solution dissolve 100 g of granular mix in 950 ml
dH2O. Bring to final volume of 1 L. Add 1 ml of stock solution to 1L of medium.
