skills, learn and participate in dialogue about important community issues, engage in meaningful work that helps people in<br />
need, and connect with many new business contacts and friends.<br />
If you bring the following skills to the sessions, you will get the most out <strong>of</strong> the journey:<br />
Participation – Challenge and learn from the community leaders who provide information and expound their opinions at the<br />
sessions – and challenge and learn from one another as well. Sharpen your listening and critical-thinking skills – and fully<br />
engage yourself in the dialogue.<br />
Commitment – Arrive on time and focus on the day’s events. Leave <strong>of</strong>fice work – including ringing cell phones and pagers<br />
– at the <strong>of</strong>fice. Empower the people you left behind to get the job done without you.<br />
Fellowship – Get to know your <strong>class</strong>mates well. Meet with them during sessions – and outside <strong>of</strong> <strong>class</strong>, too. Develop lasting<br />
