FRUIT SALSA AND CINNAMON CHIPS
Try this one for Super Bowl Sunday!
Ingredients
2 Kiwis, peeled and diced
2 Golden Delicious Apples, peeled, cored and diced
8 ounce raspberries
1 lb strawberries, diced
2 tbsp sugar
½ tbsp. brown sugar
3 tbsp fruit preserves (any flavor…I prefer strawberry)
10 (10inch) flour tortillas
Butter or butter flavored cooking spray
Cinnamon Mix: 1 cup sugar and 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Directions:
In large bowl, thoroughly mix kiwis, apples, raspberries, strawberries, sugar , brown sugar and fruit
preserves. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350° F
Coat one side of each flour tortilla with butter or spray. Cut into wedges and arrange in a single layer
on a large baking sheet. Sprinkle wedges with desired amount of cinnamon mix. Spray again
with butter spray.
Bake in the preheated oven 8 to 10 minutes. Allow to cool for approximately 15 minutes. Serve
with chilled fruit salsa and Enjoy!!

Lori Ameling has joined our Dietary team as a cook. She grew
up in Munsing, MI in the UP. Her previous work includes
cooking, catering & cleaning. She has a black & tan coon
hound named Choloe. Lori’s hobbies include drawing, beading,
cross stitch, writing, cooking & experimenting with new
recipes. She chose to work at OPV when she visited a former
resident & was impressed by the friendly environment.

Please welcome Carolina Jaso to our team of STNA’s. She has
worked in elder care for most of her life. She grew up in the
Gibsonburg area and has four children & two grandchildren.
She enjoys painting & Drawing. Carolina chose to work at
Otterbein because it always looks very clean & safe.
Marvin & his cat, Carson became residents of Sunflower Court in December.
He recently moved from Nevada but is originally from the
Toledo area. Marvin is an Air Force Veteran & also worked at Owens
Corning for 30 years. Besides being a true cat lover, Marvin enjoys
traveling and reading, especially true crime, European Theatre of
World War II and some biographies. If you haven’t done so already,
please welcome Marvin!
