Learn the Art of Wine Making<br />

Our wine making class will take you through the entire process of<br />

making your own delicious homemade wine. Learn all the ins and<br />

outs: from choosing your equipment, to planning your style of wine,<br />

the fermentation and aging of your wine, and finally the bottling of<br />

safest ways to prevent and/or eliminate common problems like algae<br />

and invasive plants so your pond becomes the beautiful, natural<br />

Using Gardens and Food Pantries as projects<br />

This workshop will incorporate the use of gardens and food pantries<br />

as examples of projects that can be used <strong>for</strong> multi-disciplinary<br />

teaching and learning. This workshop is ideal <strong>for</strong> teachers, youth<br />

organizers or administrators interested in creating service learning<br />

opportunities <strong>for</strong> their students and/or teachers. Krista Kiessling,<br />

Director of <strong>Owens</strong> Service Learning, Food Pantry, and Harvest<br />

Project Coordinator will provide expert instruction. Materials will<br />

be provided.<br />
