Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems
PressurePro Primary Components
MONITOR: Displays each tire's pressure and location and can send an audible and visual alert when pressures drop. The
system alerts at 3 levels. The first low pressure alert occurs when tire pressure drop more than 12.5%; the second (more
urgent) low pressure alert, occurs if the tire pressure drops by more than 25% and the third (adjustable) alert, is notification of
high tire pressure. Monitors are capable of logging up to 60 days of tire pressure information; and can communicate (real time)
via RS232 to a serical port. More information on PressurePro monitors in available on page 45 of this catalog.
SENSORS: Screw into the valve stems of your vehicle's tires. Sensors transmit a coded RF signal and can alert
if pressure drops below or rises above trigger settings. More information on PressurePro sensors is available on
page 45 of this catalog.
DROP AND HOOK: Intelligent "Drop and Hook" Monitor, which displays pressures in cab recognizes and reads
pressures from trailer automatically when trailer is coupled to tractor. Intelligent Repeater installs on each trailer
and automatically communicates to the Intelligent Monitor when trailer is powered to the tractor. More information
on PressurePro monitors and repeaters in available on page 45 of this catalog.
PressurePro Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems - Standard Kits for Common Applications
The part numbers listed in the chart below are kits that can be applied to many of the most common vehicle configurations. All of these standard kits (except for the data logging kits)
include a stripped end monitor power cord. Data logging kits include a 12V/24V monitor power cord with cigarette lighter adapter, with data cable. Other power cords can be ordered
separately. Standard kits differ mostly in the number of sensors supplied. ONE SENSOR PER TIRE IS REQUIRED, REGARDLESS OF THE SIZE OF THE TIRE. THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE
IN SENSORS OR KITS FOR TRUCKS USING SUPER SINGLE TIRES. 18 wheel kits include a repeater for use on the trailer, most other kits include the cabled antenna kit for optimal antenna
placement. Because the signal from the sensors is transmitted to the antenna by line-of-sight or reflection, very long vehicles of vehicles with a large amount of metal equipment may
need a repeater, this can be ordered separately from the standard kit. Because of the wide variety of configurations of systems used with third party telematics systems, no
standard kits are available and components must be ordered “a la carte”.
