beam saw, a bar code label is applied

Up to 65% of a panel cutting
process can be taken up by panel
handling. The advanced technology
Barbaric system removes this
down time. It is capable of reading
the complete cutting job list and
facilitates the loading of the beam
saw in the most productive manner
for maximum efficiency. For
example, should the beam saw
need to cut in book heights, the
Barbaric will stack a book behind
the pusher arm whilst the beam
saw is cutting. Once the beam saw
has completed its current job, the
pusher arm will lift and collect the
awaiting book. Whilst this is happening,
the Barbaric will continue
to optimise its storage area for the
next job. As soon as the pusher
arm has cleared the loading area it
will start loading the next job. In
essence, the saw never has to wait
for panel loading, returning up to
three times greater productivity.
Should the panel stock run low
the CSF system will send an email
to advise more panels need to be
ordered. Even when the factory is
closed, the Barbaric will analyse
the job list and organise the most
efficient way for the following
day’s production.
