YORK FACTORY NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE OF CANADA ...

While Parks Canada’s efforts in northern Manitoba have focussed on the
establishment of Wapusk National Park and the conservation of the walls of Prince
of Wales Fort NHSC, management of York Factory has seen a modest program of
monitoring, maintenance and salvage of the cultural resources being threatened,
impaired or lost. With this management plan, the program will see a science and
knowledge-based program of heritage management revitalized to meet a vision to
protect York Factory NHSC for the long-term and improve heritage presentation
and visitor experience.
