1. The Janice M. Scott <strong>Memo</strong>rial <strong>Scholarship</strong><br />

Qualifications: College-bound high school seniors may apply. Students must have a GPA of<br />

3.0 or higher. Student must have demonstrated leadership abilities through participating<br />

in community services or other extracurricular activities. Student must be in financial<br />

need.<br />

Application: Application available in guidance. Other documents are required which you<br />

will see on the application.<br />

Amount: 3-5 scholarships are given worth $2,500 each<br />

2. Gilbraitti <strong>Scholarship</strong><br />

Qualifications: High school senior attending college in the Fall of 2013. Must complete the<br />

application and essay.<br />

3. Odenza Marketing Group Spring Award<br />

Qualifications: High school students who hold a GPA of 2.5 or greater. Student must<br />

Qualifications: High school seniors who will be attending college in the fall of 2013.<br />

<strong>Scholarship</strong>". In the comment sections underneath the “10 Words or Less <strong>Scholarship</strong>”<br />

answer the following: In 10 words or less, tell us why you deserve the $500 scholarship.<br />

5. BBG Communications 2013 <strong>Scholarship</strong><br />

Qualifications: High school seniors with plans to enter college in the fall of 2013. Students<br />

Health In Virginia”<br />

- Must be planning to work in a health related fields<br />

8. Beacon Wealth – Shining Lights <strong>Scholarship</strong><br />

Qualifications: The Shining Lights <strong>Scholarship</strong> is intended for high school seniors or<br />

current college students that plan to attend a college or university as a committed<br />

Christian.<br />

- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on an unweighted 4. 0 scale<br />

- 500 word –essay describing how you have been or plan to be, a Shining Light on<br />

your college campus and in your community<br />

- Two letters of recommendation, one of which must be from a pastor<br />

- A copy of the first two pages of your parent’s most recent Form 1040.<br />

Qualifications: The NRCC Educational Foundation awards scholarships to qualified persons<br />

planning to attend New River Community College.<br />

Qualifications: StellarOne will once again participate in the Virginia Bank Day Program.<br />

StellarOne Bank plans to host several events March 13 through March 22 nd . On these days,<br />

Virginia High school seniors spend a day in banks across the Commonwealth learning<br />

about bankers and their duties.<br />
