The <strong>house</strong> was bought <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> year 2000 by our family and we had 9 happy years dur<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />

sufiuner, where we lived each year for around two months. As we ur" to* 6 family *.rib"r,<br />

ourselves we have decided to buy a bigger <strong>house</strong> <strong>in</strong> Mellieha and to sell this <strong>house</strong>. The<br />

The <strong>house</strong> is around 250 years old, many orig<strong>in</strong>al features still can be seen and it was <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

late middle age a part <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> outside defend<strong>in</strong>g walls <strong>of</strong> Naxxar. The walls are made <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

local lime stone and are around 3 feet ( 1 meter ) thick. In <strong>the</strong> year 2000 we also bought <strong>the</strong><br />

small land from <strong>the</strong> neighbour to tear down <strong>the</strong> 5 Meter high and 1 meter thick outside wall,<br />

<strong>in</strong> order to have a little garden which was practically used as an extended liv<strong>in</strong>g room dur<strong>in</strong>g<br />

<strong>the</strong> summer months. The garden is irrigated with an automatic water<strong>in</strong>g system. We also built<br />

<strong>in</strong> double glazed wooden, eroko tilt and turn w<strong>in</strong>dows and doors, toreäown a few walls, built<br />

<strong>in</strong> a open fire place, a stone kitchen, a second bathroom on <strong>the</strong> ro<strong>of</strong> level, air condition with<br />

heat<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> all rooms. We have also <strong>in</strong>sulated <strong>the</strong> whole <strong>house</strong> on <strong>the</strong> terraces with pU-fbam.<br />

The <strong>house</strong> is totally furnished and ready to move <strong>in</strong>. It is kept on high ma<strong>in</strong>tenance level, all<br />

switches. AC's and appliances u." *ork<strong>in</strong>g well.


Is a highly populated island <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> middle <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> mediterranean sea consist<strong>in</strong>g <strong>of</strong> <strong>Malta</strong>, Gozo<br />

- Member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> European union, Schengenraum, travell<strong>in</strong>g without passport, only I.D.<br />

is necessary.<br />

- Euro is <strong>the</strong> national currencv s<strong>in</strong>ce 2008<br />

3. Naxxar<br />

The <strong>house</strong> is situated <strong>in</strong> Naxxar <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> middle <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> island. Naxxar is a typical Maltese village<br />

with an enorrnous church surrounded by all <strong>the</strong> shops needed for daily life, left beh<strong>in</strong>d frÄ<br />

<strong>the</strong> tourist visit<strong>in</strong>g <strong>Malta</strong> every year. Modem supermarkets, <strong>the</strong> besi butcher <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> island,<br />

grocery shops, stationeries, post <strong>of</strong>frce, bus station, playground for kids are all with<strong>in</strong> walk<strong>in</strong>g<br />

distance from <strong>the</strong> <strong>house</strong>. All <strong>the</strong> popular beaches <strong>of</strong> <strong>Malta</strong> can be reached with<strong>in</strong> m<strong>in</strong>utes bv<br />

car or even by public buses.<br />
