BELLHOUSING ADAPTERS<br />
As noted in the transfer case section, <strong>Toyota</strong> used many 4 speed & 5 speed transmissions. Advance Adapters manufactures full<br />
bellhousing <strong>adapters</strong> to retain most of these stock <strong>Toyota</strong> transmissions. These bellhousings adapt to the popular Chevy 4.3 V6<br />
& V8, and the Buick V6. The transmissions we do not offer any bellhousing <strong>adapters</strong> for are the 4 & 5 speed transmissions (1979-<br />
83), with tranny codes L43, L45, L50 and L52. The L43 & L45 4 speeds were only used for a short time and not strong or popular<br />
enough to warrant an adapter. The L50 & L52 5 speeds were an integral (one piece) bellhousing and transmission, which makes<br />
it very difficult to adapt to.<br />
TOYOTA 4WD TRUCKS 1984-1995 (Tranny Codes G52, G54, W56 & G58):<br />
These transmissions are normally coupled to the <strong>Toyota</strong> 4 cylinder. They all have the same input shaft length, spline, and bolt pattern.<br />
We manufacture one bellhousing that will adapt these transmissions to the Chevy 4.3 V6, V8, and Buick V6. This bellhousing is<br />
designed for a 10-1/2”, 153 tooth clutch and flywheel assembly. We recommend a Centerforce pressure plate, and a special clutch<br />
disc 1”, 21 spline (required). This bellhousing utilizes a <strong>Toyota</strong> Land Cruiser slave cylinder. The kit includes a new GM throw out<br />
arm and special pilot bushing.<br />

TOYOTA 4WD TRUCKS 1986 & NEWER (Tranny Codes R151F & R150F):<br />
The R151F is normally coupled to the Turbo-charged 4 cylinder, and the R150F to a V6. Both of these transmissions have the same<br />
input shaft length, spline and bolt pattern. We manufacture one bellhousing that will adapt these two transmissions to the Chevy<br />
4.3 V6, V8, and Buick V6. This bellhousing is designed for a 10-1/2”, 153 tooth clutch and flywheel assembly. We recommend a<br />
Centerforce pressure plate, and a special clutch disc 1”, 21 spline (required). This bellhousing utilizes a <strong>Toyota</strong> Land Cruiser slave<br />
cylinder. The kit includes a new GM throw out arm and special pilot bushing.<br />

*Since some of the later model blocks only have a 168 tooth flywheel option, we have provided our bellhousings with<br />
clearance to accept a 168 tooth flywheel and clutch components. The only requirement is that a hi-torque starter with<br />
no nose cone must be used. This starter can be ordered under P/N 22-0001<br />
CENTERFORCE CLUTCH COMPONENTS: The Centerforce clutches and flywheels listed below are recommended when<br />
using the bellhousings listed above. We design our adapter kits around the Centerforce clutch design. If clutch components from<br />
other manufacturers are used, we cannot guarantee proper clutch operation.<br />

Conversion bellhousing<br />
MOTOR MOUNTS: <strong>Toyota</strong> used a straight axle on 4WDs 1979-85, and started using an independent front suspension on 4WD<br />
1986 & newer. Our motor mounts are designed for different engine blocks, as well as the different front axle considerations. These<br />
mounts are for both transmission and transfer case <strong>adapters</strong>. Since clearance may be an issue when performing an engine<br />
swap, a 2” body is recommended. Asterisk “*” mounts will require driveline modifications.<br />

RADIATOR: The stock radiator used in the 4 cylinder <strong>Toyota</strong>s is not sufficient to cool the V6 & V8 engines. The stock V6 radiator<br />
is marginal for cooling. We offer a new 4-core copper/brass radiator for the Buick V6, Chevy 4.3 V6 & V8. This radiator has the proper<br />
inlet & outlet location for these blocks and include a transmission cooler. The radiator extends 5” lower than stock. Core support<br />
modifications are required on vehicles up to 1984. Additional cooling components can be found on Page 64.<br />
P/N 716681 - V6 & V8 4-core radiator (measures 3” thick, 24.25” tall, and 24” wide)<br />
We now offer a custom single core aluminum radiator from BE COOL. This radiator is an ultra-thin, universal fit <strong>Toyota</strong> radiator with<br />
transmission cooler. The mounting flange on this radiator is blank, so you will need to drill the radiator flange for mounting. The<br />
radiator measures 2” thick, 22.25” tall, and 24” wide.<br />

Along with the Be Cool radiator, we also offer custom Advance Adapters aluminum radiators. These radiators have blank mounting<br />
flanges for custom installations.<br />

OIL PANS (FOR VEHICLES WITH I.F.S. SUSPENSION):<br />
Although a suspension lift is not mandatory on these vehicles, we highly recommend a 3” suspension lift when installing a Chevy<br />
4.3 V6, V8 & Ford V8. This lift drops the front axle and allows for proper oil pan clearance. For customers wanting to keep their vehicles<br />
the stock height, we offer modified oil pans. These pans will allow for minimal front differential clearance for the Chevy V6 & V8.<br />
On Ford engine applications, we do not offer a modified oil pan, but the Mustang dual-sump pan will fit well with only minor<br />
modifications.<br />

EXHAUST HEADERS:<br />
We manufacture conversion headers for V6 & V8 blocks. These headers are not smog legal. Vehicles retaining emissions<br />
equipment should use late model stock manifolds. These headers are available in chrome or Non-plated (NP).<br />
