FX-05Mini 5Ports 10M/100M Switch
The FX-05Mini achieves the compact cigarette-box size while retaining all the functions provided in our existing 5-port
switch products. Furthermore, it can be used in rooms with limited number of power outlets as it supports USB bus
powered operation.
All ports support Auto MDI/X
Since all the five ports on the FX-05Mini support Auto MDI/MDI-X, the product automatically detects straight/crossover cable
type and prevents cable-related errors caused by cable type mismatch. Although a crossover cable is usually used to cascade
two switches, Auto MDI/MDI-X lets you use a more popular straight through cable.
Store-and-Forward blocks error packets
The FX-05Mini utilizes Store-and-Forward switching scheme, in which incoming data frames are first stored in buffer memory.
The switch then uses FCS (Frame Check Sequence) at the end of the frames to check for errors. Since frames with errors are
removed within the switch, the scheme prevents the generation of unwanted network traffic.
Higher data transfer efficiency achieved via Flow Control
The product achieves highly reliable and much more efficient data transfer as the on-board Flow Control function (IEEE802.3x
in full duplex mode, Back Pressure in half duplex mode) prevents the occurrence of overflow, a state in which packets sent and
received in excess of buffer memory capacity are destroyed.
Auto-Negotiation enabled on all ports
The built-in Auto-Negotiation feature automatically selects the best data transfer rate (10/100Mbps) and mode (Full/Half
Duplex) for communication between the switch and another networking device.
Supports USB bus-powered operation
When the supplied USB power cable is used, the product can directly draw its power from a USB port on your PC. The product
can thus be used in rooms with limited number of power outlets (for network devices).

The product achieves unmatched compact size for a switch with fully functional five ports.
Metal chassis adds superb heat dissipation capacity
Its metal body enables efficient heat dissipation. Since no fan is used inside the switch, the multi-port ultra compact switch does
not emit any irritating fan noise. Furthermore, the bottom magnet of the chassis enables side-mount installation of the switch on
your steel desk, etc.
