M E I S S E N C O U T U R E ® I Italian grandeur made in Milano: when you see the international fashion community milling around the Quadrilatero della Moda in Milan, the fashion district located between the Cathedral Square and Piazza della Scala, you know that it’s Milan Fashion Week again! The best-known designers present their latest creations to an illustrious audience of fashion journalists, stylists, buyers, bloggers and VIPs over a period of a few days. In the midst of this electric atmosphere, MEISSEN COUTURE® staged a fashion event at the exclusive VILLA MEISSEN COUTURE® on 21 February for the second time: for one evening, the historic palazzo on the luxurious Via Montenapoleone was transformed into a sparkling backdrop for the 1920s and 30s – an era in which people celebrated life as their most precious asset. The luxury store presented its autumn/winter collection 2014-15 bathed in subtle light, with artistic flower arrangements and accentuated by MEISSEN COUTURE® Home Collection furniture and living accessories in a sophisticated and minimalist Art Deco style. Sensuous interplay of colours: the palette for the evening dresses ranges from deep blackberry red (above) and black to fine champagne nuances (bottom). For the several hundred invited guests, including Vogue Italia editor-in-chief Franca Sozzani and beauty icon and MEISSEN COUTURE® consultant Nadja Auermann, the event was a feast for the senses, fashioned entirely from material: evening and cocktail dresses with lingerie elements made out of the finest lace, feathers and fringes reminiscent of sinful boudoirs and high leg slits and low-cut backs recalling the golden era of Hollywood ® J O A I L L E R I E 63
