Putting a freeze on
energy consumption.
The new insulant made of Elastocool wraps it up.
Refrigerators are designed to cool – continuously, with high
insulation values, energy-efficiently and thus inexpensively
for the consumer. A key element in this is the fridge’s or
freezer’s insulation material of polyurethane that keeps the
chill inside and warm air outside. With improvements in the
thermal insulation and refrigerant compressors, the insulation
values achievable today are chillingly superior to those of
the previous generation. The power consumption of fridges
and freezers has thus been slashed by about 75 percent
in the last 10 years. Since the introduction of energy-efficiency
classes, sales have risen markedly, and demand for
energy-efficient appliances has increased appreciably.
Taking everything into account, Elastocool sets today’s
standard.
There’s now a new generation of PU rigid foam systems by
the name of Elastocool ® that achieve utterly astonishing
