Opening game – What are you doing my dear?<br />

Participants st<strong>and</strong> in a circle. The first to start does one thing yet says they are doing something<br />

else. The person next to them have to do what they said they were doing but they should say they<br />

are doing something different when their neighbor asks “what are you doing my dear?”<br />

Puppet show with older woman <strong>and</strong> married woman talking about the home visits <strong>and</strong> the<br />

findings <strong>and</strong> suggesting the collective practice <strong>of</strong> these findings in the <strong>Hearth</strong>.<br />

Planning <strong>Hearth</strong> Menus:<br />

<strong>Hearth</strong> menu criteria:<br />

• 500-800 calories<br />

• 18-28 grams <strong>of</strong> protein<br />

• micronutrients<br />

• PD food<br />

• Extra fat/oil<br />

• Animal products if culturally acceptable <strong>and</strong> available<br />

Meal planning exercise: Create a <strong>Hearth</strong> meal, which meets these criteria <strong>and</strong> is small enough for<br />

a child 2-3 years old. Hint: stomach capacity is about 350g.<br />
