This extra option is available
on high-end W 5000 washing
machines and offers effective
stain removal with intuitive operation.
There are 22 stain types to choose from of
which up to 3 can be selected with any
one programme. With some stains, a tip
about pre-treating the stain will appear in
the display. To ensure excellent results, the
programme parameters on a Miele
washing machine are tailored precisely to
suit each type of stain.

In addition to specially textured
easy clean side walls and a
smooth base which residual detergent just
doesn’t stick to, a special automatic
cleaning process flushes out the detergent
drawer during every programme to ensure
it is always spotlessly clean and never
needs to be manually cleaned. Perfect for
you and perfect for your laundry.
Extra Quiet
This new option allows you to
reduce noise levels when using
your washing machine during
quiet periods, for instance when people are
sleeping. It takes advantage of a special
wash rhythm and activates the rinse hold
option to prevent the washing machine
spinning when it could disturb you.

Low temperature washing
Everyday laundry is often only lightly soiled
and does not need the water heated up to
high temperatures to get it clean. With
improved wash rhythms, spin and rinse
profiles and new detergents, virtually all
programmes on Miele’s W 5000 series
washing machines offer the option of
economical washing at just 20°C or Cold.
Washing at 20°C uses 67% less energy
than washing at 40°C!
Express 20
With a duration of only 20 minutes, the
Express 20 programme is ideal for washing
up to 3.5 kg of lightly soiled cotton or
minimum iron garments. Perfect for that
special occasion when you need that shirt
in a hurry.
Low energy consumption
Miele W 5000 washing machines are
extremely efficient in their use of energy.
With a standard household load of 3.5 kg,
Miele washing machines only use 0.19
kWh of energy per kg of laundry and
achieve an A rating for energy efficiency.
Wash a full 7 kg load of laundry and the
energy consumption drops to just 0.15
kWh per kg of laundry which is an amazing
20% more economical than Energy
Efficiency Rating A (measured using the
Cottons 60°C standard test programme
DIN 60456).
Not only is low consumption helpful in
terms of the caring for the environment it is
also economical. Using less energy will
save money on energy costs over the
lifetime of the washing machine.
