of strength, stability, expertise, and innovation that
Prudential has been helping clients and their employees
Real Challenges Call for Innovative Solutions
Employers like you face numerous challenges. Among the most
pressing are reducing benefits costs and relieving administrative
burden on your staff. You’re also focused on attracting and retaining
talented employees with the right benefits plans—and keeping
those plans financially strong.
Your employees also face challenges when it comes to benefits.
They want access to desirable coverages that help protect them
and their families. Employees want to understand their benefits so
they can make informed decisions when adding voluntary insurance.
And they want prompt, courteous, knowledgeable service.
Prudential has a strategic alliance with the firm of Johnson Rooney
Welch, Inc. (JRW), who acts as the national managing underwriter
for Prudential’s special risk portfolio. JRW is expert in designing
and underwriting Basic Accidental Death and Dismemberment
(AD&D) 2 Insurance, Voluntary AD&D Insurance, and Business Travel
Accident Insurance.
JRW, a company recognized for innovation in the area of insuring
special risk, has invented many types of accident benefits that
have become industry standards, such as paying benefits for
dependents’ education and for day care. Most importantly,
Prudential’s flexible, integrated special risk products feature:
n Coverages for employee, spouse, and dependent children
n Employer-paid and employee-paid funding options
n Competitive group rates
Basic and Voluntary Accidental Death and Dismemberment
(AD&D) Insurance—Protects against loss of life, injuries, and
paralysis resulting from covered accidents. Additional benefits are
available for covered accidents where seat belts and airbags are
used. We also offer optional provisions for paralysis and coma,
exposure and disappearance, return of remains, felonious assault,
spouse or child tuition reimbursement, day care expenses, and more.
Business Travel Accident (BTA) Insurance—Covers
accidental death or injuries occurring during business trips.
We also offer plans that cover travel for pleasure, and a choice of
high coverage amounts, executive carve-outs, corporate-owned,
leased, or controlled aircraft, large aggregate limits and blanket
war risk protection (except the United States and insured’s country
of permanent residence).
Specific Special Risks—Provides temporary coverage for
unusual aggregate limits, episodic events (i.e., sales conferences,
conventions, etc.), named individuals for special coverage amounts
while on temporary assignment, and other exposures
not contemplated under normal circumstances.
Travel Assistance Services delivered by AXA Assistance USA*—Offers worldwide travel, medical, legal assistance plus emergency
repatriation/evacuation transportation benefits for employees, their spouses and dependent children when traveling domestically or internationally
100 miles or more away from home.
*Certain services may not be available in some market segments. The Travel Assistance services are optional services. These services are provided by AXA Assistance USA.
Prudential is not responsible for the services provided by AXA Assistance USA but helps coordinate billing for these services with its premium billing.
Protecting Employees Against Special Risks,
Without Increasing Cost or Administrative Burden
When you choose Prudential as your insurance carrier
for special risks such as war, accident, or travel, your
employees and their loved ones get the protection they
need. You get a consultative partner that helps reduce
your benefits costs and saves you and your staff time
and resources.
A Consultative Approach to Coverage
Prudential’s Group Insurance underwriting and actuarial
methodologies have developed over the more than 90 years
we’ve been doing business. We can design an Integrated
Accident Program that synchronizes benefits and ensures
consistent policy provisions across all accident plans.
Inconsistencies can happen when an employer installs
multiple plans and does not integrate their definitions,
benefit schedules, coverages and exclusions, and other
critical components. From time of proposal through the life
of the case with Prudential, our underwriting technicians
are available to assist in measuring and supporting
competitive and financially sound benefit programs.
At Prudential, we are experts in covering difficult and complex
special risks and are uniquely positioned to help develop
insurance solutions to meet your company’s needs. As your
consultative partner, we will think creatively and respond
proactively to meet and exceed your expectations. Our experienced
account management team will help you manage and administer
your plan, providing responsive, value-added service. The team
will work closely with you to seamlessly implement your program,
then meet regularly to review and recommend action throughout
the life of the plan.
