” “
thank you
for your support
throughout 2012
A
nother year is already nearing its end. Let me start off by saying
thank you so much to all of you for your efforts and support
throughout a challenging year 2012.
As you know from last week’s announcement, I will step down from my position
as CEO of PUMA by the end of March next year. I would have loved
to stay longer and see some of the work that has been done over the last 18
months come into fruition, but unfortunately circumstances have changed,
which means that I will not be able to stay on board after that date.
As you are fully aware we are currently going through a major transformation
of our organization on various levels and you may rest assured that I
will give my very best over the next three months to successfully transition
into the new Business Unit Management organization and to support the
build-up of a new leadership team including the Chief Executive Officer
(CEO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Chief Operations Officer (COO).
In this context and on behalf of the whole PUMA team I would like to pay
tribute and express my gratitude again to Klaus Bauer, Reiner Seiz and Antonio
Bertone who will all leave PUMA very soon after a combined 66 (!)
years with the company. You will be missed and we wish you all the best for
your future endeavors.
As already announced a few weeks ago, the new Business Unit structure
will be effective as of January 2013, yet we will need to spend one season in
transition whilst we put the final structure in place. The plan is to have the
new teams fully established in one location for the kick-off of the Spring/
Summer 2015 season, which means by June 2013.
