nother year is already nearing its end. Let me start off by saying<br />

thank you so much to all of you for your efforts and support<br />

throughout a challenging year <strong>2012</strong>.<br />

As you know from last week’s announcement, I will step down from my position<br />

as CEO of PUMA by the end of March next year. I would have loved<br />

to stay longer and see some of the work that has been done over the last 18<br />

months <strong>com</strong>e into fruition, but unfortunately circumstances have changed,<br />

which means that I will not be able to stay on board after that date.<br />

As you are fully aware we are currently going through a major transformation<br />

of our organization on various levels and you may rest assured that I<br />

will give my very best over the next three months to successfully transition<br />

into the new Business Unit Management organization and to support the<br />

build-up of a new leadership team including the Chief Executive Officer<br />

(CEO), Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Chief Operations Officer (COO).<br />

In this context and on behalf of the whole PUMA team I would like to pay<br />

tribute and express my gratitude again to Klaus Bauer, Reiner Seiz and Antonio<br />

Bertone who will all leave PUMA very soon after a <strong>com</strong>bined 66 (!)<br />

years with the <strong>com</strong>pany. You will be missed and we wish you all the best for<br />

your future endeavors.<br />

As already announced a few weeks ago, the new Business Unit structure<br />

will be effective as of January 2013, yet we will need to spend one season in<br />

transition whilst we put the final structure in place. The plan is to have the<br />

new teams fully established in one location for the kick-off of the Spring/<br />

Summer 2015 season, which means by June 2013.<br />
