PUMA.Safe goes SusCon

Taking place on November 26th and
27th in the UN city of Bonn, the
SusCon conference brought together
around 450 participants
from 37 countries. Businesses, NGOs
and politicians discussed on issues
related to a “Green Economy” and
debated solutions for sustainable
supply chains.

During his key note speech, Pavan Sukhdev,
leader of the reknown TEEB study, which measured
the economic benefits of biodiversity for
the first time, presented the PUMA E P&L as
a best practice example. Pavan also visited our
PUMA booth and showed great interest in our
Product E P&L.
Another highlight was the inspiring opening
speech of Dr. Auma Obama, sister of the incumbent
US President. Auma is the initiator and
chairwoman of “SautiKuu – powerful voices for
a powerful youth” and has been an active aid
worker for many years already. During an exhibition
tour, Stefan Seidel, Teamhead PUMA.
Safe Ecology, seized the opportunity to present
parts of our new InCycle Collection to her. The
Collection will debut in PUMA stores around
the world in February next year.
All main panel speakers of the conference received
a shirt from the PUMA Wilderness collection,
the first Fairtrade certified collection by
PUMA produced entirely in Africa.
