Doris Matyasovich addressed the <strong>Board</strong> regarding the observance of Constitution Day in district<br />
schools.<br />
Jacqueline DeVries addressed the <strong>Board</strong> in support of the inclusion of a patriotic song following the<br />
Pledge of Allegiance at every <strong>Board</strong> meeting.<br />
STUDENT BOARD REPORT<br />
Student <strong>Board</strong> Representative Jordan Fox provided a brief report of the activities and events occurring<br />
at the district’s high schools.<br />
SUPERINTENDENT’S REPORT<br />

The <strong>Board</strong> recognized El Dorado High School’s National Cheerleading Championship team and<br />
viewed a news report on the team that is soon to be broadcast.<br />
Mrs. Candy Plahy, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services, shared information regarding<br />
the Gift of History Event to be held at Anaheim Stadium on Tuesday, November 8, 20<strong>11</strong>, for thirdgrade<br />
students across Orange County. Mr. Eric Padget presented a signed copy of Nothing<br />
Rhymes With Orange by Stan Oftelie to the District.<br />
Mr. Doug Domene, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, and Mike Bailey, Facilities and<br />
Planning, provided an update on the Educational Services Center (ESC) Yard Zoning and Property<br />
Options and the establishment of a 7/<strong>11</strong> Committee.<br />
Mr. Richard McAlindin, Director of Executive Services, provided a brief update on the district’s<br />
compliance with the TDAP vaccination requirement. Appreciation is to be extended to Michelle<br />
DeHaven, Lead Nurse, and Health Services staff for their work in ensuring that the district is fully<br />
compliant with the requirement.
