QUALITY WITHOUT COMPROMISES<br />

Q <strong>CELLS</strong> unites four quality programmes in its daily production and in doing so goes far beyond the conventional initial registration<br />

test. For this reason, our products are the best monitored, most secure and most reliable on the market.<br />

1. Initial registration tests: the core is based on the international initial registration, e.g., as per IEC, UL, MCS, JPEG, and Kemco.<br />

They guarantee the electrical and constructional safety of the modules in accordance with international standards.<br />

2. The Q <strong>CELLS</strong> Yield Security has formed part of the warranty for reliable products from Q <strong>CELLS</strong> since 2011. It combines the<br />

guaranteed resistance to potential induced degradation (PID) 1 , with protection against hot-spots and product forgery.<br />

3. The VDE Quality Tested programme adds considerably to the initial registration tests. In addition, with its quarterly repetitions, it<br />

ensures consistent quality and product security at all times.<br />

4. The Q <strong>CELLS</strong> internal Quality Programme checks on a daily basis that all products correspond to Q <strong>CELLS</strong>’ high safety requirements.<br />

In the wet-leakage test, for example, the module is placed in a water bath and subjected to 1,000 V. This makes it possible<br />

to test the module’s insulation reliably. Every module undergoes an electroluminescence test as part of the classification in order<br />

to ensure that only modules which are guaranteed free from defects are delivered.<br />

The high-performance cell concept Q.ANTUM is used in the high power classes of our Q.PRO-G3 polycrystalline solar module.<br />

In standard solar cells irradiating light is not completely converted into energy. Part of the light passes unused through the solar<br />

cell and is lost via the backsheet.<br />

In solar cells with the Q.ANTUM cell technology an innovative dielectric rear structure (Q <strong>CELLS</strong> Power Reflector) reflects these rays<br />

of light that pass through the cell unused. This allows the conversion of light energy into electrical energy which would otherwise be<br />

lost. At cell level this translates to an increase in the efficiency to 19.5%. A world record value confirmed by the Fraunhofer Institute<br />

(ISE) and which makes our polycrystalline 60-cell modules the most high performing on the market.<br />

Q.PRO-G3 is the reliable polycrystalline longdistance<br />

athlete for all applications. It can<br />

STEP 1<br />

The substructure is positioned on the roof and the ballast carriers<br />

inserted. The central support and end clamps can be installed<br />

in advance. Thus, the remaining installation steps can be<br />

performed without any tools. Fixation to the roof is not necessary.<br />

This protects the building and reduces installation costs<br />

considerably.<br />

STEP 2<br />

The Q <strong>CELLS</strong> solar modules are slid into the mounting<br />

rails on the middle columns and then aligned.<br />

Q.FLAT-G3 is a system solution developed specially<br />

for large roof surfaces with Q.PRO-G3<br />

modules. Compared with a 30° mounting system<br />

with a southern orientation, Q.FLAT-G3 doubles<br />

the performance density of 67 Wp/m² to up to<br />

134 Wp/m² and as such maximises the yields.<br />

The revolutionary installation system allows a<br />

strainless float-mounting of the modules. The<br />

system does not need to be affixed to the roof<br />

and thus protects the building substance.<br />

Together with the 1-2-3-click installation this<br />

makes Q.FLAT-G3 the fastest photovoltaic system<br />

available for flat roofs.<br />

The standard blocks of a solar power plant are installed in a cascade<br />

structure. The individual blocks are installed in a staged<br />

concept, e.g.:<br />

1. Installation of the substructure in standard block 1 and performance<br />

of the grounding work in standard block 2.<br />

2. Then connection of the solar modules in standard block 1 and<br />

installation of the substructure in standard block 2, etc.<br />

This allows optimal use of resources. Since 2009, we have reduced<br />

the installation time for 1 MWp from 3.9 days to less<br />

than 1 day. For our partners that translates to a rapid return on<br />

investment.<br />

much more than just our technical customer service. We also offer support with the processing<br />

and marketing of our Q <strong>CELLS</strong> products. For large solar power plants, we also happily take on the<br />

monitoring and maintenance of the entire power plant with our system service. This makes sure that<br />

nothing is left to chance.<br />

As a Q <strong>CELLS</strong> quality partner you don’t just benefit from our high quality products. We are there for you if you have any questions<br />

or problems. Our competent, telephone support line is available to help in a flash – we don’t put you through to a call centre, but<br />

to experienced technicians, who can even help you with technical problems on site if necessary.<br />

We also support you in the processing of our cells, the certification of the solar modules and the marketing of Q <strong>CELLS</strong> modules<br />

• As a member of PV Cycle, we ensure that your end-of-life modules can be returned free of charge.<br />

this was complemented with guidelines for fire protection-compliant planning, installation and maintenance of photovoltaic<br />
