Clive Anderson hosts Maestro’s second studio<br />

challenge as six famous amateur conductors go head<br />

to head. This week the challenge is choral music as<br />

they conduct the BBC Concert Orchestra and the BBC<br />

Symphony Chorus. They perform in front of a panel of<br />

internationally renowned judges before they face the<br />

orchestra vote and one will leave the competition for<br />

New to the Proms, Folk Day celebrates the diversity<br />

and influence of folk music, culminating in this live<br />

Prom featuring artists who are continuing to revive<br />

and re-interpret the traditions of folk music, including<br />

23-year-old Bella Hardy, guitarist Martin Simpson and<br />

the boisterous 11-piece big band Bellowhead, who between<br />

them won three Radio 2 Folk Awards this year.
