The band is the Danish Radio Big Band, or DR Big
Band, a band with both deeply experienced musicians
and youthful enthusiasm. The Nordic Voices are some
of the best in their field. Norway's Silje Neergaard,
Rigmor Gustavsson from Sweden and Cæcilie Norby
from Denmark first meet in a studio. They are joined
by the band – and voilà: sweet, swinging music.

Nigel Kennedy follows up his successful »Blue Note
Sessions« album release with this new jazz concert.
In 2007 Nigel brought his own Polish Jazz Quintet,
NKQ, to Paris for a show at the New Morning Club,
Paris. The concert captures Kennedy’s unique take on
some of the most legendary jazz numbers of all times,
including Lonnie Liston Smith’s »Expansions«, »The
Sidewinder« by Lee Morgan and Kenny Burrell’s
»Midnight Blue« alongside his own original tunes.
All the jazz numbers are given the incomparable Nigel
Kennedy electric violin treatment with some stunning
solos from members of his band.
