ECBC Impact • Case studies show that use of ECBC can reduce building energy consumption by 30% to 40% • Initial Cost may be up 10% to 15%, but payback 5 to 7 years. • Most cost effective way to comply with ECBC is to design buildings with due regard to climate & sun. • Nationwide enforcement of ECBC can save 1.5 billion kWh per annum at present levels.
