RESEARCH&DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
The association gives financial support to different research institutions as university
laboratories or other research institutions.
A privileged relationship exists between the thermodynamic laboratory of the university of
Liège and ATIC. Apart from that, ATIC grants special prices to individuals or institutions that
have realised outstanding work in our field.
ATIC - 75th anniversary
Special research prize - Call for tenders
ATIC aims to promote technical progress in HVAC-related fields.
Every day the sun generously sends us energy in the form of light and heat, a form of energy
that is virtually inexhaustible. For our part, we seek to develop new technologies and
endeavour to capture the power of the sun and adapt it to our requirements.
Within this context, and especially in 2013 on the occasion of its 75th anniversary, the ATIC
wishes to encourage research geared towards the development of innovative technologies
that focus on ways to use solar power for heat production and air conditioning.
To this end, the ATIC will contribute the sum of €60,000 towards research in this field in
2013 and 2014 in the following specialised area:
Adaptation of heating and air conditioning systems to promote the optimum use of solar
thermal energy

RESEARCH&DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES
Action for Promoting the Training and Employability of the Youth for Energy Efficiency in
Buildings (Action for Training of the Youth for Green Jobs) EU Project has been completed at
the end of year 2011. TTMD is also involved in three other projects which are funded by the
European Commission through the Framework Programme Seven (FP7). These projects are
SmartHeat, HIP and Aquaconserver SmartHeat project has been completed on January 31,
2013, however monitoring of application will continue until 2014. Other two projects are
still in progress. In addition to these TTMD has also been committed to implement a highly
technical project namely “Decreasing Carbon Emission by Capacity Building of Certified
Building Energy Managers”. The project was designed by TTMD professional staff and it has
been presented to British Embassy in Ankara. The project has been approved by the
Prosperity Fund Post Programme Board and it has started on July 2nd, 2012 and will last
about nine months. The project is also being supported by the Ministry of Energy and
Natural Resources and Ministry of Environment and Urbanization of Turkey.
