Domestic and Nursing staff are aware of
their respective responsibilities in relation
to equipment cleanliness, usage and
state of repair. Equipments found to be
below standard are isolated and either
cleaned again, sent for repair or declared
obsolete if damaged beyond repair.
Domestic and Nursing staff are aware of
which items of equipment they are
responsible for cleaning at through
schedules held at ward level. Standard of
cleaning is monitored through general
daily observations and also as part of
internal IPCEH audits. Where concerns
are identified staff are retained in
procedures.
Domestic services staff have been trained
in the requirements for cleaning and stock
of hand basins.
Cleanliness monitored on a daily basis by
