The hubs and spokes Shepparton Hub Shepparton Shepparton is a regional city, located two hours north of Melbourne. The twin towns of Shepparton and Mooroopna have a combined population of 46,000. The local economy is centred on irrigation based agriculture. Shepparton is surrounded by orchards and dairies. Some of the largest food processing plants in the world are located in the Goulburn Valley. Shepparton is Australia’s busiest inland port (trucking). All this means access to great food festivals and farmers markets, cheap food via factory outlets, and the most multicultural community in regional Victoria.
