FELLOWSHIPS<br />
<strong>The</strong> University of Pittsburgh in collaboration with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) offer fellowships in<br />
Toxicology, Emergency Medical Services, Research, and Education. Each fellowship provides intensive training and interaction<br />
with the nationally-known experts in each domain from among the faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine and from<br />
the University, with strong multidisciplinary collaboration ongoing. We provide experience in basic or clinical research and teaching<br />
opportunities exist with medical students, residents and other health care providers. Fellows enroll in one of several available<br />
Master’s level degree programs as a part of <strong>for</strong>mal training. Fellowships include clinical responsibilities with limited hours as<br />
attending physicians in one of our core academic Emergency Departments or an affiliated institution. Each applicant should have<br />
an MD/DO background or equivalent degree and be board certified/prepared in emergency medicine, Other doctoral prepared<br />
candidates also are considered <strong>for</strong> our research fellowship.<br />
