Article IX - Eligibility Rules<br />

Section 1:<br />

Any student participating in activities of this conference must be eligible under<br />

the eligibility rules of the <strong>South</strong> <strong>Carolina</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> <strong>League</strong>.<br />

Article X - Dues and Fees<br />

Section 1:<br />

The conference shall require dues from each member school provided a majority<br />

of the conference members’ vote for the same.<br />

Article XI - Balloting<br />

Each member school shall have one vote for all balloting at meetings of the<br />

conference.<br />

The Principal of a member school, or his duly appointed representative, shall<br />

cast a vote.<br />

Article XII - Quorum<br />

Section 1:<br />

Fifty-one percent of the membership shall constitute a quorum for the transaction<br />

of business.<br />

Article XIII - Parliamentary Authority<br />

Section 1:<br />

Robert’s Rule of Order, revised, shall be the parliamentary authority for this<br />

conference.<br />

Article XIV - Amendments<br />

Proposed amendments shall be acted upon at the regular scheduled Spring<br />

meeting and a two-thirds majority of the representatives of member schools<br />

present and voting shall be required for adoption.<br />

Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing to the President at least<br />

thirty days prior to the meeting.<br />

Proposed amendments must be submitted to member schools not less than ten<br />

days prior to the meeting by the proposing school or regions.<br />

Any school granted a special meeting of the <strong>AAA</strong> Executive Committee to hear<br />

an appeal to a ruling shall pay the expenses of the meeting if the ruling is<br />

sustained.<br />

The <strong>AAA</strong> Executive Committee can grant reconsideration to an appeal of its<br />

decision only if new evidence is shown that could not reasonably have been<br />

known at the time the <strong>AAA</strong> Executive Committee rendered its decision.<br />
